In Aigina' s island we will visit the exquisite temple of Afaia of the 5th century that embellish Aigina and the whole Greece. According to the myth, a young girl called Vritomartis, who was the daughter of Zeus and Carmis, once she was trying to avoid  the affair of the Cretan king Minoas , she fell herself into the sea and trapped in fishnets that lure her until here.

The most favorite place in Aegina for those who have boats is Perdika with its hospitable harbour. We can choose one of the fishtaverns with an extraordinary port view to enjoy fresh fishs and seafood.

From the most well known places of the island is Agia Marina with the organised beach and the tranditional taverns on the wave. Here we will find also many residenses and guesthouses.

The traditional port of Souvala is the second biggest port of the island . Near Souvala we will finfd small beaches for swimming. The beaches of Marathona and Kolona are good choices.

AeginaCapralou museum
Worth to visit the important museum of the well known sculptor Christos Capralos ,in Plakakia . Located acrosss the bronze statue of Mother that has her back turn in the sea.
Here we will admire the sculptors exhibits, that gives his emotion and art in  stones, marbles, bronze metal.

As we are in Aegina it will be better to go for a stroll at its grounds in order to get informations from its people that gives true fight  for the medicare of the animals of the island.

Daily ships depart from Pireus port (Karaiskaki square) and reach Aegina after one hour and ten minutes approximately.
