Access
The best way to explore the island is by car so as to reach various places that the public transportation and the organized tours cannot reach.

By bus:
From Athens to the ports of Patra (9 hours) and Kylini (7 hours). From there there is coastal link with Kefalonia.

By ferryboat:
From Patra to Sami and from Kylini to Argostoli and Poros. Also there is coastal link with Ithaka, Zakynthos and Lefkada, Aetoloakarnania and Paxoi.

By plane:
Every half hour in the summer and every hour in the winter. Duration: 20 minutes.
