Riganada is an event that takes place every summer in the square of Karya from 1984 to date and is based on a traditional food of mountainous Lefkada.
Riganada is made from dry bread, which is soaked in water, wringed well and then is added to it a lot of oregano, oil, sea salt and vinegar. It is usually accompanied by olives, salted sardines and garlic. During the celebration, Riganada is prepared on the spot and then is offered to visitors along with local wine, followed by a traditional feast with live music.

Karya
Karya is the mountainous village of Lefkada, 14 km from the town of Lefkada, about 20 minutes drive by car, drowned in the deep green that was given unlimited by nature and which was cared and maintained by the hospitable inhabitants.
It is built on the green slopes of the mountain at an altitude of 500 meters, and is famous for its excellent climate and for its unique natural beauty.
Countless cobblestone streets that spread throughout the village, old and renovated stone houses, traditionally built, terraced gardens, interspersed historical churches, windmills, stone walls. At the center of the village is the church of St. Spyridon, with the imposing belfry, built in the late 19th century.
