Beaches in Serifos island

Some of the best beaches in the Cyclades are found in Serifos. The island has more than 70 beaches and coves sheltered from the winds of the Aegean Sea.

The beaches of Serifos are known for their crystal clear waters, while some have lush trees along their lengths, providing coolness to beachgoers.
On the southeast side, below Chora, the capital of the island, are the popular beaches of Livadi and Avlomonas, as well as the wide golden sandy beach of Livadakia. Further south is Karvi beach, which has turquoise waters. Also nearby is the Kalo Abeli beach which offers peace and relaxation to those who prefer it.

Traveling on the northeast coast, we find beautiful beaches, such as: the sandy beach of Lia, the picturesque cove of Agios Sostis, the stunning Psili Ammos beach with the turquoise waters, considered by many as the best on the island, as well as the Agios Ioannis beach.
On the north side of Serifos we will find Kendarchos beach with turquoise waters and trees and two coves in Platis Gialos. On the northwestern coast is the magnificent beach of Sikamia with sand and pebbles.

On the southwestern side of the island you will find the long, sandy beach of Avessalos and Megalo Livadi beach with shallow water and trees. Malliadiko beach is ideal for those who want to avoid the crowds.
In a picturesque bay on the south side of the island, you will find the beaches of Koutalas, Ganemas and Vagia. The beach of Koutalas is pebbly with trees and is located below the village of the same name. Ganemas beach is quiet and has sand, pebbles and trees, while at the beach of Vagia there are sources of fresh water if you dig in the sand.
