The beautiful Kythnos has wonderful beaches forming picturesque bays, coves with crystal clear waters and plenty of shade from the trees for those who can not withstand the constant sun exposure.

One of the most remarkable beaches of Kythnos is Loutra. If you dive along its edge, you will enjoy the beneficial properties of the warm waters of the thermal springs that end up on the beach with the crystal clear waters.

Near Loutra you will find the beach of Agia Irini with the picturesque village and Shinari. Between Potamia and the area of Maroula’s is Kavouroheri Beach, while Kouri lies between the beaches of Naoussa and Zogkaki, which are connected by small steps.

Following the path to Kalo Livadi you can swim in the picturesque beach of Liotrivi while Martinakia is the first beach you encounter when leaving the area of Meriha going towards Loutra.

On the south side of Kythnos, near the village of Agios Dimitrios, is the beach of the same name, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island. From Agios Dimitrios you can reach the small beach of Petroussa.

The Megali Ammos Kanala beach is among the most popular beaches of Kythnos. It has a large, sandy beach, as its name justifies, and is located on the right bay under the church of Panagia Kanala. You can also swim in the left bay, at Antonides beach.

On the eastern part of the island you will find the beach of Agios Stefanos. You will be delighted by the wide sandy beach with pebbles and the many trees providing plenty of shade.

For those who prefer complete peace while enjoying the sea there are the beaches of  Mavrianos in the eastern part of the island, Simousi southeast and Stifo on the way to Agios Dimitrios.

The most spectacular beach in Kythnos is Kolona, where a strip of sand divides the sea in the middle creating two beaches on the same beach. Combining the beautiful scenery and the golden sand, the beaches of Fykiada and Flabouria near the church of Our Lady is one of the most characteristic of Kythnos.
