Kolona is a very beautiful beach which is divided in half creating two beautiful separate beaches. A narrow strip of sand connects the island of Kythnos with the island of Agios Loukas.

It has crystal clear waters and a blue color that, combined with its golden sand, creates a fantastic landscape.
It would be best to come equipped with the necessities as the beach is not organized. Nearby there is also a tavern for you to enjoy your meal and anything else you might need.
You will see many inflatables and other small boats sailing amid the sea as well as many visitors, since the beach fills with people every summer. This beautiful scenery will surely reward your visit.

How to get to the beach

To reach Kolona Beach you have to follow the road until Apokrousi and then you must traverse a difficult dirt road that leads to the beach. 
An easier way is to go by boat or water taxi.
