Palios Agios Athanasios
The traditional village of Palios Agios Athanasios in recent years has been improved in tourism and has become the top winter destination in Macedonia, but the Athenians know very little about it and therefore hasten to visit.t is built at an altitude of 1200 m in the shadow of Kaimaktsalan, the highest peak of Mount Vora and has its roots in the late 16th century when there were installed the first inhabitants of the area persecuted by the Turks. The village was abandoned in the '80s mainly because of immigration.
Ski Center Kaimaktsalan
Mount Voras or Kaimaktsalan is located inPella prefecture 54 km from the city of Edessawith its beautiful waterfalls. The KaimaktsalanSki Center operates from early November until early May. It is known as one of the few ski resorts in Greece with such a long duration of snow. There are many miles of ski slopes ofdifferent levels of difficulty. The ski center that is operating at Mount Vora attracts friends of skiing and wintersports in general.
