Ammouliani..with the wonderful beaches
Ammouliani, in the gulf of Mount Athos (Agion Oros), is the only island of Halkidiki that is inhabited, having 600 permanent inhabitants, who are mainly occupied with fishery and tourism and overcome 5,000 along with the visitors during summer.

Ferry boats depart daily with regular routes from Tripiti with destination to Ammouliani. The journey lasts about 15 min at a low ticket cost. It would be better, in order to avoid any discomfort, to be at the port around 15-30 min before departure. There are also speedboat night routes only for passengers and the route lasts about 10 min.
Caution is needed at the departure times as timetables are accurate.
There is also the possibility of personal transportation but at a considerable cost (50-60 €).
