By car:
The car might not be particularly useful since you can visit the different areas and beaches of the island by bus or taxi.
You will need it to get to the port of Volos and Agios Konstantinos, depending on what point you want to reach Skiathos and, of course, the place of your departure.

By bus (KTEL):
Frequent Bus routes link the town to the enchanting beaches of Skiathos and the historic Evagelismos Monastery.
Thus, there is a bus connection to Koukounaries, Ksanemo and Evagelismos Monastery.
You can visit most of the areas and beaches of the island through the bus route towards Koukounaries.
The Bus terminal is located to the center of Skiathos Island, next to the Port (School Park).

By ferryboat:
Ferry connections:
Agios Konstantinos - Athens (Kanigos sqr). The trip lasts 3 hours.
From Volos there are daily routes both winter and summer. The trip lasts 2.30 hours.
From Thessaloniki 3 times a week during the summer season.

Skiathos is connected, especially during summer period, to Alonissos, Glossa Skopelos, Skopelos, Syros, Thira, Paros, Heraklion, Tinos and Naxos.

By high speed:
Regular flying dolphin and catamaran routes link Skiathos to Ag. Konstantinos, Volos, Thessaloniki, Alonissos, Glossa (Skopelos) and Skopelos.

Ferry connections:
Agios Konstantinos - Athens (Syntagma). The trip lasts about 1 hour and 20 min.
From Volos in about 1 hour and 15 min, several times a day.
From Thessaloniki there are daily routes during the summer season.

By boat or small ships:
The beautiful beaches of Skiathos can be reached daily also by guided boat tours.
Boats and caiques organize routes and tours to all the beautiful beaches and seaside villages of the island.
There are also organized tours for destination to Skopelos, Alonissos, N. Tsougria and around the island.
Most departures take place to the old port.

By your own boat:
Skiathos Port is the principal destination for private boats in Skiathos, which provides facilities and supplies of fuel, water, ice and food.
For your convenience you will find the Customs and Post Office and engineers for repairs.
Several uninhabited bays are suitable for safe anchorage where you can stay overnight.

By plane:
The airline connection from Alonissos to Athens and other Greek regions and cities abroad is via Skiathos. There are regular routes that last 35 min.
Skiathos airport "Alexandros Papadiamandis" is about 4 km far from town and is accessible by taxi or car.
