Nea Iraklitsa, Kavala
Nea Iraklitsa is undoubtedly the most picturesque tourist resort in Kavala prefecture with beautiful sea.
It is located 16 km west of Kavala, east of Thessaloniki.

In the church of Our Lady, Faneromeni, you can see and worship the miraculous image, which, according to tradition, was painted by Evangelist Luke.
During the Novena of the Assumption (23 August), the holy Church is celebrating and by extension the entire village, as a festival takes place that attracts its residents and also many visitors.
