Information center "Arktouros" for brown bear

In Aetos we meet the organization of Arktouros with the Information center for brown bear that runs from the October of 1998 with goal to inform for brown bear but also the sensibility of the audience for the dangers that threatens the species.

The center is addressed to people of every age and of different levels of knowledge backround in the fields that is operating.
The features that are presented regarding with biology, ecology, and protection of the brown bear, came out from the research of the scientific team of Arktouros.

The visitors of the center have the chance to choose subjects that want to interact with information, gaining in this way an active role in the happenings. The tour in the place is a journey to "bears life" through a scenario with natural flow and continuation. The visitors have to discover the mysterious relation of bear, environment and human.

Biology - Ecology
The presentation of biology and ecology feautures of species in all periods of the year.
Inspected all changes in the behavior and way of life of bear in every season, the morfology and biology of the animal, nutrition habits, reproduction of bear, birth and biological features of the animal, the birth and training of little bears, winter sleep and generally feautures of the physical environment that lives in.

Center of reproduction of Greek Sheepdog
The center is at Agrapidia Florina of 4.000 m² and Greek sheepdogs of Arktouros live here. The place has 14 independent accommodation places for dogs, main practice place and the possibility of changements based on the needs.
The facilities are in order to ensure the proper hygienic, nutrition and training of dogs in aim to the best living and effectiveness of reproduction program.
