Easter in the island has its own color. In the Holy Week we will watch all the services at the churches and monasteries of the island.
At Holy Friday night we will watch one of three epitaphs of Aegina at the beach and at traditional narrow streets...

Altough the spiritual atmosphere we will live at the  monasteries of the island. The resurrection in the isalnd is exceptional with many fireworks at the church of Eisodia Virgin Mary (Pangitsa) at the port and at Agios Nikolaos at the city.

Meanwhile for a different Resurrection  is worth visiting the church of Agios Nektarios, Agia Aikaterini, Agios Christoforos and Chrysoleontissa.

An old custom, but not forgotten, relives in Easter Monday at Aegina. It is the «Dance of Lampri», that takes place in the morning, between 10-12, in Paleochora with many byzantine churches, in front of the church of Holy Cross, with music from traditional instruments and lots of dance..
