Most of the organized and well known beaches of Sithonia have awarded with the Blue Flag.
North of Marmaras, the beaches are tourist developed with good infrastructure with dominant element the fine white sand.
South of Marmaras, after the area of Porto Karras, the beaches become more difficult accessible with some of them to be accessible only by boat.

Some of the most known and easily accessible beaches are:

Sarti
The crystal clear waters of the sea, the white sand, the leeward coves, the unique shores protected by the picturesque rocks fascinate visitors and offer unforgettable moments and experiences.
Sarti is ideal for the sea lovers, since here they will enjoy water sports (skiing, surfing, etc.), fishing and boat rides to nearby beaches.
From the port of Sarti run daily guided excursions for circumnavigation of Athos Mount, to Vourvourou and to the beaches in the area.

Kavourotrypes
Cluster of small beaches, 23 km south of Vourvourou and 6 km north of Sarti, in a coastline of more than 5km. Stunning turquoise waters and rock sculptures by artists give a different feel to these beaches.
You will not find detailed signage for your visit in Kavourotrypes, so it needs a lot of attention when you approach the area to find the right exit.
Apart from Portokali beach, where is also the same named beach bar, the rest beaches are not organized but isolated and deserted and you should go prepared so you do not encounter difficulties.
