Beaches in Aegina island
Aegina has a large number of small and large beaches, where one can enjoy the sea.
Some of these beaches are organized offering umbrellas – sun beds, and the opportunity of water sports activities etc.
- Agia Marina Beach
The most beautiful beach on the island is located in Agia Marina. If someone arrived at the port of Aegina, he would have to travel there by car (15 km approx.)

Panagitsa beach is located on the right as we disembark from the ship, immediately after the church of Panagitsa at the edge of the port and is organized with sunbeds and umbrellas. It is very close to bars and restaurants. - Agios Vasilios and Marathonas Beaches
Organised beaches located about 4 km from the port going south towards Perdika.
They are organized with sunbeds and umbrellas. Nearby there are bars and restaurants - taverns.
This is where the Greek ships gathered in 480 BC, after the naval battle of Salamis.
Also well-known are the beaches of Klima and Mourioti which are located in the area of Perdika, on the south side of the island as well as the beach of Moni’s islet, opposite Perdika, which someone can visit with the small boats traveling from Perdika during the summer, if he doesn’t have his own marine transportation.
- Kolona Beach
Located approximately 350 meters from the port, immediately after Kolona hill (the temple of Delphinium Apollo). - Vagia beach for spearfishing
It is located at the northern part of the island, about 5 km after and is organized with sun beds - umbrellas. A unique place for lovers of underwater fishing. The village is also known from the literary works of George Sarris who lived and wrote in Vagia. - Aeginitissa Beach
The beach is located after Marathonas Beach heading towards Perdika. Organized with sun beds and umbrellas. There are taverns nearby.
