Agios Dimitrios of Pelion
Agios Dimitrios is a traditional village, with spectacular views of the Aegean Sea, ideal for a relaxing winter or summer holiday. It stretches on a wooded ridge that descent down to the sea.
Its cobbled streets, the flower-covered courtyards, the squares with fountains and the traditional chapels will be unforgettable.
Its name comes from the old monastery, which, in recent years, gave its place to the new one, by the same name, the majestic metropolitan church. Scattered in the green, with remarkable frescoes and iconostasis are the chapels of "Ai Giannakis", of St. George, of Virgin Mary and of Savior with the homonymous square.
The village is becoming a tourist resort, offering a remarkable tourist infrastructure that constantly is expanding. Visitor following the well-preserved small stone paths reaches the beach of Agios Ioannis.
