A theater for venus
The specificity of the theater of Milos is based on the inscriptions on the seats. According to them, the youngster men were sat at separate locations from the singers and the "Vouleftes". The theater was built in the Hellenistic era.
In the seven tiers there are nine rows of seats. The retaining walls are made of trachyte stone.

The unfinished theater
A small, white marble theater of Hellenistic or Roman times, facing the blue sea.
It was discovered in 1814, just six years before the Venus of Milos, who was buried in the same area with the theater, and it was eventually excavated from 1816 to 1867. The horseshoe shaped orchestra is twenty-seven meters in diameter, is divided by stairs in seven tiers. The theater remained unfinished as it is revealed by some unfinished sculptures from the decoration of stage.

Access
The road network in Milos is very good with the main roads paved while the unpaved roads are passable.
In Milos you can use the buses to go to the villages and beaches. Main destinations are Adamas, Triovasalo, Plaka, Tripiti, Pachaina, Filakopi, Pollonia, Zefiria, Paliochori, Chivadolimni, Provatas.

The main port of Milos is Adamas. Pollonia also has a port but is used mainly for a coastal link with Kimolos.
Daily trips by lying dolphin or catamaran from Piraeus. There are also daily excursions by boat or small ships are organized so as to be able to do the round of the Milos and go to the beaches. Also you can visit Kimolos from Pollonia.

There are daily flights from Athens. You can go to the aiport of Milos (in Adamas) only by taxi or by car.
